Dakota Booster GENERAL Membership Meeting Minutes

10/8/07

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Meeting Minutes from May and September General Board Meeting were approved.

Treasurer Report: Treasurer’s report was approved.

Administration: None

Student Activities: Homecoming was held on 10/6.

Service Report: NHS and other student groups were involved in Spruce Up on Saturday. They made improvements in the courtyard. The Key Club is having a bottle drive on Saturday and hosting a Halloween Bash on 10/29. Fundraiser for Cancer research on October 20, 2007—Lemonade stand at Waldenburg Plaza located at 22 Mile Road & Romeo Plank.

Fine Arts:
Choir: A Fashion Show sponsored by the performing Arts Parten Group on Monday, October 15, 2007 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Cherry Creek Golf Course. Purchase tickets for $40 by mail from Toni Scavo (see website for address).

Band: You can now access the band website through the Dakota website under Performing Arts.
10-9-08 Zap-a-Snack fundraiser kick-off
10-10-07 MSBOA Marching Band Festival competition at Utica HS. Performance time: 7:45 p.m.
10-23-07 Zap-a-Snack money due

Drama: OKLAHOMA! The cast is posted on the choir website. Rehearsals are ongoing. Performances at 7:00 p.m. November 15-17, 2007. Matinee times TBD.

Sports Report:
Football doing well! Craft show volunteers – need bake goods, please sign up. Seeking new Sports Trustee, Nancy will be leaving in 2 years, now’s a good time to start-up. The new Trustee has a great opportunity to train with Nancy before she’s goes.

Craft Show:
130+ vendors. Craft show volunteers are needed. Seeking new chairperson for next year. MaryAnn would like to begin training with this year’s show.

Donation Requests:

Donations approved by board and General Membership:

• Senior All-Night Party - $5,000.00
• Varsity Dance—30 jazz performance costumes $2,292.55.

Old Business:
Update: Spectator’s standing in the walkways at Varsity football games. Difficult to control at Varsity games, please email Mr. Fusco with any questions.

Gift card Raffle:

$50 Target card went to MaryAnn Rugal (ticket number – 4770076)
$50 MJR card went to Dave Steinberger (ticket number – 4770077)
